How long do you play for?
Typically, we would play for about two hours (with short break). Times can be tailored to suit your event.
How much do you charge?
Every event is unique, so we will give you a quote depending on your requirements. Prices start from £125.
What should I expect?
Whether it is a Cocktail Pianist, or the Jazz Duo, we can guarantee quality, background music from professional musicians. The music will blend perfectly into your function in an unobtrusive manner, and create an ambient atmosphere.
How far do you travel?
We are willing to travel up to 2 hrs from Chichester, West sussex to get to your venue. Expenses will be added to the cost of hire.
How do I secure a booking?
You can email, or phone Tim with your enquiries before agreeing to book. Once the details are confirmed, we will send you a confirmation letter or email and ask for you to send a £20 deposit.
What music do you play?
We play a wide range of music from the 1930s - 1960s. You can expect to hear pieces such as ‘Moon River,’ ‘Summertime,’ I Get A Kick Out Of You,’ ‘Smoke Gets In Your Eyes,’ Fly Me To The Moon,’ ‘Autumn Leaves,’ ‘These Foolish Things,’ Yesterday,’ ‘My Funny Valentine,’ etc.
What equipment do you bring with you?
If there is not a piano at the venue, we will bring an electric piano and a small amp. The bassist will also bring a small amp. Because they are both electric, they are ideal, as our volume can be controlled to a suitable level for your guests.
Do you play requests?
We are more than happy to play particular pieces you request - let us know beforehand to avoid possible disappointment on the night.
How much space do you require?
We can usually squeeze into most spaces, but ideally, a 2 metre square or more would be great. Guests will be more comfortable sitting at least 2 metres from us.
How and when do I pay you?
You can pay before or at the event - whatever is easier for you. Payments can be cash, cheque or internet banking. More details will be sent to you in the confirmation letter.
What happens if I cancel?
If, in the unfortunate event, you need to cancel, you will only lose your deposit.
Are you reliable?
Absolutely. We have never cancelled in 10 years of providing music for clients. If, in the unlikely event a musician is ill, then we have deputy musicians standing by. We always make sure we turn up in good time so everything runs as smoothly as possible.
